Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Modern Signal built a complex and robust online system for the National Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program, which is part of the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center. The system allows local SRTS programs from across the country to input their data -- including its funding, ways in which it is promoting walking and biking, schools that are involved, parents’ perspectives, and tallies of how students are commuting to and from school -- and create automated reports with dynamic charting and graphing. Reports are tiered based on users' permission level, with data aggregated at the school, program or state level.
